● A total of102,100 tickets are available in the following bundles:
⦾ 600 individual tickets at $20 each
⦾ 800 sets of 5 tickets for $40 each
⦾ 500 sets of 20 tickets for $75 each
⦾ 400 sets of 75 tickets for $150 each
⦾ 230 sets of 250 tickets for $250 each
● Each ticket pack (5-Pack, 20-Pack, 75-Pack, 250-Pack) must contain the same purchaser information. The number of tickets available for sale in each price range may change, but the overall number of tickets for sale and odds of winning will not change.
The price of tickets is not deductible as a charitable donation for tax purposes in Canada.
● Ticket Sales Period: September 18, 2026 to November 14, 2026. Ticket sales close on November 14, 2026 at 10:30 PM
● Final Draw Date and Location: November 14, 2026, at 11:00 PM at the Capital Direct VGH + Gala hosted at the Vancouver Convention Centre, West, 1055 Canada Pl, Vancouver, BC V6C 0C3
● Prize Claim Deadline: Prize must be accepted as awarded and must be claimed within 12 months of the draw date.
50/50 Lottery Prize: One cash prize equal to 50% of all ticket sales, up to a maximum of $99,500 (maximum cash prize of $199,000).
Prizes are awarded tax-free in Canada and must be accepted as awarded; no substitutions are permitted.
The 50/50 Lottery is a 50/50 style draw where the money received in ticket sales is divided evenly between the winner and the charity.
● Age Restriction: Ticket purchasers must be 19 years of age or older.
● Geographic Restriction: Tickets may only be sold and purchased within British Columbia. Purchasers must be physically located in BC at the time of purchase. Non-residents of BC may purchase tickets only if the transaction occurs while they are physically within BC.
⦾ Tickets or receipts will not be distributed to, mailed or sent to a non-resident’s third-party address in BC.

● Ineligible Participants: Board members, executives, and staff of VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation are prohibited from purchasing tickets in this lottery.
● Online Ticket Sales: Purchases made online are facilitated through the approved Raffle Nexus Canada platform, which verifies that purchasers are of legal age (19+) and located in British Columbia during the transaction.
● Purchaser Verification: VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation 50/50 Lottery uses secure technology to verify that purchasers meet all requirements under BC law, including age and geographic restrictions.
● In Accordance with Gaming: All prize draws will be conducted in accordance with Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch – Licensed Charitable Gaming Rules.
● All Sales Final: Once a ticket number is assigned, the sale is final and non-refundable.
● Refusal of Entries: The Licensee reserves discretionary right not to accept entries
● Notification of Winners: The winner will be contacted by email, phone, or mail regarding their prize and how to claim it. The winner will have 12 months from the draw date to claim their prize.
● Proof of Ownership: The Purchaser is responsible for proof-of-ownership of shared tickets. Allow 3-4 weeks for delivery of your official ticket.
● Minor’s Name: If a winning ticket bears a minor’s name, the prize will be lawfully delivered on behalf of the minor to the minor’s parent, legal guardian, or trustee.
● Public Disclosure: Winners consent to the release of their names, city of residence, and photo for promotional purposes. This information may be published on the VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation website and social media channels.

All prize draws will be conducted in accordance with Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch – Licensed Charitable Gaming Rules.
All prizes will be chosen using a Random Number Generator.
Winners will be notified by phone or email by VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation.
Should there be more than one name on a ticket, the prize will be awarded to the primary name on the ticket and that person” and “will be responsible for distributing any prizes, in the event of a group purchase winning.
All ticket packs are considered a single purchase and all tickets are issued in the same name or names.
Winners consent to the release of their names and photo by the Licensee.
Winners have 1 year from the draw date to claim their prizes.
● Liability Limitations: The liability of VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation is limited to the ticket price paid.
● Accuracy: In case of discrepancies, the official records of VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation will be deemed accurate.
